Aggregate Distributed Energy Resource (ADER) Pilot Project

This Aggregate Distributed Energy Resource (ADER) Pilot Project, which was established through Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) Project No. 53911, will evaluate the participation of ADERs in the ERCOT wholesale market. An ADER is a Resource consisting of multiple individual metered sites/Premises connected at the distribution system level that has the ability in aggregate to respond to ERCOT Dispatch Instructions.

Each phase of the pilot will be conducted in accordance with the applicable Governing Document for Aggregate Distributed Energy (ADER) Pilot Project, which are posted below.

In addition to registering with ERCOT, parties looking to create an ADER and participate in the Pilot Project must also register with the PUCT using the form provided below under “Other Links.”  Further, following registration as an ADER, if any changes occur regarding those premises enrolled with an ADER participant, that ADER participant is required to file an update with the PUCT in Project No. 54311 (see form provided under “Other Links” for more details)
