ERCOT has initiated an extensive stakeholder process to address challenges created by the rapid increase in Large Load interconnection requests. The ultimate goal of the process is a new Large Load interconnection process, referred to as the "Batch Study process.” ERCOT envisions a Batch Study process that will group Large Loads that meet certain stringent requirements into a single study to provide Large Load Customers with study efficiency, consistency, transparency, and certainty while maintaining a system-wide focus on reliability.
