Description: This Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) will administratively set Locational Marginal Prices (LMPs) at the System-Wide Offer Cap (SWCAP) during Security-Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED) executions in which ERCOT has deployed Emergency Response Service (ERS) Resources and/or Responsive Reserve (RRS) Service supplied by Load Resources.
Reason: Currently during SCED executions in which ERCOT has deployed ERS Resources and/or RRS supplied by Load Resources, the deployments could create a price reversal. Real-Time prices are vital to sending the correct signals to both Generation Resources and loads on when to react in a manner that ensures ERCOT System reliability. Price reversals send the incorrect signal during these vital intervals and this NPRR is designed to mitigate these price reversals.
