Background

Status: Approved
Date Posted: Aug 8, 2012
Sponsor: ERCOT
Urgent: No
Sections: 10.2.2, 10.2.3
Description: This Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) allows transmission connected generators providing Emergency Response Service (ERS) to be exempt from the requirements for ERCOT-Polled Settlement (EPS) Metering if their energy exports to the ERCOT System occur only during ERS deployments or tests; and requires that Transmission Service Provider (TSP) and Distribution Service Provider (DSP) metering be installed to measure any energy exported to the ERCOT Transmission Grid and the TDSP would submit data to ERCOT for Settlement.
Reason: This NPRR reduces the market costs for metering associated with transmission connected generation participating in the ERS program.
