| Description: | This Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) clarifies the treatment of Reliability Unit Commitment (RUC) instructions for instances in which ERCOT issues instructions prior to the closing of the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) submission window and to clarify how a Qualified Scheduling Entity (QSE) may self-commit in such a scenario. |
| Reason: | Since Nodal Market implementation, there have been instances when the QSE received verbal RUC commitments prior to execution of the DAM. Current Protocols are not clear on how the QSE can self-commit after receiving the verbal instruction and/or submit a Three-Part Supply Offer into DAM. |
