| Description: | This Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) reduces the standard Operations and Maintenance (O&M) costs permitted to be used in lieu of actual, verifiable O&M costs by NPRR225, Standard Cost Option in Verifiable Costs, which was approved by the ERCOT Board in June 2010. |
| Reason: | At the time of submittal of this NPRR, verifiable costs have been submitted for relatively few Resources, and of those Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) or Resource Entities that have submitted verifiable costs, most have elected to utilize standard O&M costs. NPRR225 permitted Market Participants to use standard O&M costs in the verifiable costs process for the first year of the Nodal Market so as to permit Market Participants additional time to collect and submit actual O&M data and to allow QSEs and Resource Entities to focus on the Nodal Go-Live process. This NPRR provides an additional incentive to submit verifiable costs that include actual O&M data during the years subsequent to 2011. |
