Background

Status: Approved
Date Posted: Aug 30, 2012
Sponsor: ERCOT
Urgent: No
Sections: 4.1, 4.4.5 , 4.4.8, 4.4.10,4.4.11,
Description: This Commercial Operations Market Guide Revision Request (COPMGRR) aligns the Commercial Operations Market Guide with Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 454 (approved by the ERCOT Board on July 17, 2012) which removed language regarding the Unfunded Project List; aligns the Commercial Operations Market Guide with the Protocols by requiring ERCOT’s opinion in the TAC Report for any COPMGRR requiring an ERCOT project for implementation; modifies the scope of the Administrative COPMGRR definition to include revisions for the purpose of maintaining consistency between Section 4, Process for Commercial Operations Market Guide Revision and Protocol Section 21, Revision Request Process; and includes administrative alignment changes.
Reason: Alignment with the Nodal Protocols by removing language regarding the Unfunded Project List and including ERCOT’s opinion in TAC Reports; and allowing COPMGRRs that are for the purpose of alignment with Protocol Section 21 to proceed as Administrative COPMGRRs significantly decreasing the amount of work and meeting time that must be devoted to these routine COPMGRR.
