ERCOT Announces Third Annual Innovation Summit
Event to bring together thought leaders across the energy research and innovation ecosystem to explore solutions that use innovation to impact grid transformation
(Austin, TX) – The Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Inc. (ERCOT) today announced the third annual ERCOT Innovation Summit to be held March 31, 2026, at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock, Texas.
The Summit is part of ERCOT’s strategy to advance knowledge sharing in grid innovations through the Grid Research, Innovation, and Transformation (GRIT) initiative, fostering industry collaboration to address the challenges and opportunities facing grid operators around the world.
“Following the success of the first two Summits, we are excited to bring together visionaries, thought leaders, and innovators to explore new ideas that will propel innovation forward and continue shaping Texas’ rapidly changing electric grid,” said Pablo Vegas, President and CEO of ERCOT.
Seats are available for in-person attendance. Register to attend the Summit in person or online.
The Summit is open to stakeholders in the energy research and innovation ecosystems, such as Market Participants, vendors, Independent System Operators (ISOs) and Regional Transmission Operators (RTOs), academia, and research labs. Attendees will hear about topics that are vital for ERCOT and other ISOs in meeting their missions to provide reliable and affordable electricity in their regions.
“The thoughtfully curated agenda for this year’s Summit highlights key innovation efforts and features panel sessions that will address some of the most pressing opportunities for today as well as those on the horizon,” said Venkat Tirupati, ERCOT Vice President of DevOps and Grid Transformation.
The Summit panels will feature industry executives and subject matter experts discussing topics such as Global Grid Leadership, Grid Transformation Initiatives, and AI Application on the Grid.
