Background

Status: Approved
Date Posted: Jul 11, 2005
Sponsor: Mass Transition TF
Urgent: No
Sections: 7.11
Description: This RMGRR revises Sections 7.11.1 and 7.11.2 to include Transmission and/or Distribution Service Provider (TDSP) to TDSP customer transitions; renumbers and re-tittles Sections 7.11.3 through 7.11.8 to distinguish Competitive Retailer (CR) to CR transition language from TDSP to TDSP transition language; and adds new Sections 7.11.9 through 7.11.12 documenting the TDSP to TDSP transition processes.
Reason: The purpose of this RMGRR is to provide the processes for handling a TDSP or Municipally Owned Utility or Electric Cooperative (MOU/EC) TDSP transition TDSP transition of ESI IDs. It covers the current process for a Partial Transition, high-level requirements for a transition when the ESI IDs change or remain the same, and the process for a Full Transition. This RMGRR is similar to the documentation developed for the mass transition of customers between CRs, recording the work of the ad hoc task force and includes a description of processes that could be used in future TDSP to TDSP transition events.
