Background

Status: Approved
Date Posted: Jun 24, 2014
Sponsor: ERCOT
Urgent: No
Sections: 3.10.7.2.1
Description: This Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) clarifies that the reporting of Demand response participation, including Emergency Response Service (ERS), Demand response pilot projects, and Load Resources providing Ancillary Services, will be mapped to the 2003 ERCOT Congestion Management Zones instead of the current Load Zones to ensure confidentiality of MW quantities associated with Non Opt-In Entity (NOIE) participation. Without this revision, Qualified Scheduling Entity (QSE)-specific quantities of self-arranged Ancillary Services could be disclosed before the time permitted under paragraph (f) of Section 1.3.1.1, Items Considered Protected Information. This NPRR also changes the source of the data that will be used to create the reports for Load Resources. This change was necessary to account for capacity that is self-arranged by QSEs and not procured through the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) for Ancillary Services.
Reason: Administrative
