Capacity Available to Security-Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED) is a graphical representation of the available capacity in the ERCOT System that can be used to increase or decrease Base Points in SCED. These aggregate values include Generation Resources, Controllable Load Resources, and Energy Storage Resources and are calculated without consideration of ramp rate or duration limitations that an individual Resource may have.
This dashboard shows the Current Day and Previous Day Capacity Available to SCED. The light purple line is the sum of the High Sustained Limits (HSL) minus current generation (Gen). The dark purple line is the sum of the Low Sustained Limits (LSL) minus Gen. While the terms HSL, LSL, and Gen are used, these aggregate values include Generation Resources, Controllable Load Resources, and Energy Storages Resources.
These values are calculated as part of the ERCOT Ancillary Service Capacity Monitor, described in Section 6.5.7.5 of the ERCOT Nodal Protocols, and do not consider any ramp rate or duration limitations that an individual Resource may have.

These values are all provided in megawatts (MW). Data is based on Real-Time telemetry.
