This information session is intended for anyone new to the requirements of the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) Weather Emergency Preparedness Rule, 16 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) §25.55, or anyone interested in a refresher on weatherization responsibilities in ERCOT. This information session provides an overview of ERCOT's Weatherization and Inspection (W&I) program, including compliance requirements under PUCT Rule 16 TAC §25.55, the use of the W&I Market Participant Portal, the process for submitting a Declaration of Weather Preparedness, best practices for preparing for a weatherization inspection, what to expect during and after an inspection, and how compliance deficiencies are addressed.
