SHORT DESCRIPTION: Updated Standard Generation Interconnection Agreement (SGIA) and Amendments

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Resource Entities, Transmission Service Providers

DAYS AFFECTED: January 1, 2026

LONG DESCRIPTION: As described in Market Notice M-A120125-01 issued on December 1, 2025, the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) recently adopted an update to the ERCOT Standard Generation Interconnection Agreement (SGIA) in PUCT Project No. 58211 and that updated SGIA became effective on January 1, 2026.  All new SGIAs executed on or after January 1, 2026 must use the updated SGIA.

For existing SGIAs that were executed prior to January 1, 2026, amendments to or restatements of such SGIAs must use the SGIA form that was previously in effect.

The current SGIA and the previously effective SGIA are available on the Resource Integration page of ERCOT's website.

ACTION REQUIRED: Any new SGIA executed on or after January 1, 2026 must use the updated form of the SGIA that was approved by the PUCT in Project No. 58211 on November 6, 2025.  Amendments or restatements to preexisting SGIAs must use the old form.

Refer to 16 Texas Administrative Code Section 25.195 for requirements related to the interconnection allowance.
