SHORT DESCRIPTION: Updated Standard Generation Interconnection Agreement (SGIA) effective beginning January 1, 2026

LONG DESCRIPTION: On November 6, 2025, the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) approved an update to the ERCOT Standard Generation Interconnection Agreement (SGIA) in PUCT Project No. 58211.  The amendments update the SGIA to comply with the PUCT's adoption in Project No. 55566 of an allowance for generator interconnections, as required by Public Utility Regulatory Act Section 35.004 and now reflected in the PUCT's rule in 16 Texas Administrative Code Section 25.195.  The updated SGIA becomes effective on January 1, 2026.  All SGIAs executed on or after that date must use the updated SGIA.

The current SGIA and the updated SGIA are both available on the Resource Integration page of ERCOT's website.

ACTION REQUIRED: Any SGIA executed on or after January 1, 2026 must use the updated form of the SGIA that was approved by the PUCT on November 6, 2025.
