SHORT DESCRIPTION: Dashboards and displays affected by beginning of Daylight Saving Time (DST) March 9, 2025

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: March 8-9, 2025

LONG DESCRIPTION: Some of ERCOT’s informational dashboards and displays on ERCOT.com will be affected by the beginning of Daylight Saving Time (DST) on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

  • The Combined Wind and Solar dashboard line chart will not display the “Solar Gen Hourly Avg” or the “Solar COP HSL” values for the skipped 2:00 a.m. hour or the 3:00 a.m. hour on Sunday, March 9. The same issue will be noticed for the “Solar Day-Ahead COP HSL” on Saturday, March 8.
  • The Real-Time Settlement Point Prices display will show a 0200 (2:00 a.m.) interval ending that should instead be labeled 0300 (3:00 a.m.). The associated data appearing on the incorrectly labeled 0200 line of the chart will be for the 0300 ending interval. The display will also contain a repetition of the 0315 (3:15 a.m.) interval ending values.
  • The same issues experienced on the Real-Time Settlement Point Prices display will also be noticed on the Day-Ahead Market Settlement Point Prices display on Saturday, March 8.
  • The System-Wide Prices dashboard will contain a duplication of data in the Real-Time Hub Avg. and the Real-Time Hub Bus Avg. lines of the graph, specifically the first 15-minute interval will be repeated twice making the lines appear thicker during the transition from Hour Ending 01 (1:00 a.m.) to Hour Ending 03 (3:00 a.m.) on Sunday, March 9, 2025.

ACTION REQUIRED: Users should be aware of possible issues on these dashboards and displays on Saturday, March 8, and Sunday, March 9, 2025.
