SHORT DESCRIPTION: Revised Notice of Proposed Net Metering Arrangement Form relating to Net Metering Arrangements Involving a Large Load Customer Co-Located with an Existing Generation Resource
INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants and Customers Seeking Interconnection of Loads 75 MW or Greater in Size in a Net Metering Arrangement with an Existing Generation Resource

LONG DESCRIPTION: In Market Notice M-B090225-01, ERCOT established interim procedures for implementing Public Utility Regulatory Act (PURA) Section 39.169. The Market Notice also included a Notice of Proposed Net Metering Arrangement form, provided a list of "stand-alone generation resource[s] as of September 1, 2025," and described the process a Resource Entity must use to assert an exemption from ERCOT's system impact study. In Market Notice M-B090225-02, ERCOT supplemented the list of stand-alone generation resources to include Energy Storage Resources.
On March 26, 2026, the Public Utility Commission of Texas adopted 16 Texas Admin. Code Section 25.205 (Net Metering Rule), which formally establishes the procedure for review of a net metering arrangement under PURA Section 39.169.
To conform with the Net Metering Rule, ERCOT has revised the Notice of Proposed Net Metering Arrangement form. A Resource Entity may initiate an ERCOT system impact study of a proposed net metering arrangement by submitting a completed and executed copy of this form. This new form, attached hereto, will be updated on the Large Load Integration page of ERCOT's website under "Other Large Load Forms and Documents" - "Net Metering with Existing Resources."
The list of stand-alone Generation Resources and Energy Storage Resources is unchanged. The list remains posted on the same Large Load Integration page.
The process a Resource Entity must use to assert an exemption from ERCOT's system impact study also remains unchanged.
