LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT will be holding an optional Congestion Revenue Right (CRR) Market User Interface (MUI) Upgrade test auction in the Market Operations Test Environment (MOTE) to allow CRR Account Holders and Counter-Parties to practice the auction process using the upgraded MUI. The bid window for this test auction will open at 00:01 CPT on Tuesday, October 23, and it will close at 17:00 CPT on Thursday, October 25. The credit submission window will also close at the same time as the bid window. Participation in this test auction is voluntary, but it is highly encouraged by ERCOT. More auction details can be found in Market Notice M-A101218-01 below.

LONG DESCRIPTION: As announced in Market Notice M-A092518-01 CRR, ERCOT will be holding an optional test auction in the Market Operations Test Environment (MOTE). This is a voluntary test auction in the CRR Upgrade MOTE system for Market Participants to test portfolios and market results in the Downloads pages of the upgraded application. The auction will be executed and posted in the MOTE CRR Upgrade system. In order to receive awards, Counter-Parties must lock credit for this test auction. All Counter-Parties will be provided with $75M credit in the MOTE CRR Upgrade system. Results will be available through the application interface only, and will not be posted to MIS. No results, or credit information, will be supplied to any other system. This test auction is contained strictly to the MOTE CRR Upgrade system and database.

ACTION REQUIRED: The CRR MUI Upgrade test auction takes place in MOTE, which can be accessed at https://testmis.ercot.com/mui-ercot-ihedge/. An active MOTE digital certificate is required to access the site. If needed, registered User Security Administrators (USAs) can request digital certificates via email to mpimdigitalcertadmin@ercot.com.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Supporting documentation for the upgrade is posted on the CRR webpage, under CRR MUI UPGRADE.
An online market training course, titled CRR Market User Interface (Upgrade), is available on the ERCOT Learning Management System (LMS).
ERCOT will continue to provide project updates at each Congestion Management Working Group (CMWG) meeting, and through market notices, leading up to the implementation date.
