SHORT DESCRIPTION: 45-Day Notice of Change to System Administration Fee

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: January 1, 2026

LONG DESCRIPTION: At its Open Meeting on November 6, 2025, the Public Utility Commission of Texas (Commission, PUCT) voted to approve a change to the System Administration Fee (fee) from the current rate of $0.63 per megawatt-hour (MWh) to $0.61 per MWh, effective January 1, 2026.

16 Tex. Admin. Code (TAC) 25.363(e) requires that "[a]ny change to the fee approved by the [C]ommission . . . be noticed through standard market processes at least 45 days before implementation."

Paragraph (2) of ERCOT Protocol Section 9.16.1, ERCOT System Administration Fee, requires ERCOT to post the changed fee and effective date on the ERCOT website within two Business Days following PUCT approval. The PUCT's written order approving the changed fee was posted to www.ercot.com/about/governance/FinancialInformation.
