SHORT DESCRIPTION: Overview of the ERCOT Weatherization and Inspection (W&I) program, highlighting Declaration of Weather Preparedness (DoWP) submissions and the inspection process

INTENDED AUDIENCE: New Resource Entities (REs) subject to the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) Weather Emergency Preparedness Rule, 16 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) 25.55, and personnel at existing REs with new weatherization responsibilities

DAYS AFFECTED: October 30, 2025, 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

LONG DESCRIPTION: This information session will provide REs with an overview of ERCOT's W&I program. Topics include:

• compliance requirements under the PUCT Weather Emergency Preparedness Rule, 16 TAC 25.55; 
• the use of the W&I Market Participant Portal;
• the process for submitting a DoWP;
• best practices for preparing for a weatherization inspection;
• what to expect during and after an inspection; and
• how ERCOT addresses compliance deficiencies.
