SHORT DESCRIPTION: Overview of the ERCOT Weatherization and Inspection (W&I) program, highlighting Declaration of Weather Preparedness (DoWP) submissions and the inspection process

INTENDED AUDIENCE: New Resource Entities (REs) subject to Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) Weather Emergency Preparedness Rule, 16 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) 25.55, and personnel at existing REs with new weatherization-related responsibilities.

DAYS AFFECTED: April 30, 2026, 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

LONG DESCRIPTION: This information session will provide participants with an overview of ERCOT's W&I program. Topics include:

• PUCT Weather Emergency Preparedness Rule, 16 TAC 25.55 requirements; 
• using the W&I Market Participant Portal;
• submitting a DoWP;
• preparing for a weatherization inspection;
• what to expect during and after an inspection; and
• how ERCOT addresses weatherization deficiencies.
