SHORT DESCRIPTION: RIOO R1 (January) Release

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants (User Security Administrators (USAs), Resource Entities, TDSPs)

DAYS AFFECTED: January 29, 2026, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.

LONG DESCRIPTION: The Resource Integration and Ongoing Operations (RIOO) system will be unavailable on January 29, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. to deploy release changes. This release includes a few functionality updates (PGRR131, NPRR1234) and defect fixes. Changes that are important for users to note are the ' Password Rotation' and 'Disabling of Inactive Users' in the RIOO application.

Password Rotation:
  • After this release, all users are expected to reset their password in RIOO every 365 days. Users who have been using RIOO for more than 365 days already will be forced to reset their password immediately after these changes are live.  
  • The RIOO application will redirect the user to a page indicating to the user that their password has been expired, and that it needs to be reset.

Disabling Inactive Users:

  • To make the application more secure, RIOO will disable inactive users.
  • RIOO will send notifications to all users who have been inactive more than 365 days, alerting them that their account has been disabled.
  • Going forward, RIOO will send a reminder notification 10 days prior to disabling the user account.
  • If a user with a disabled account attempts to log in, the RIOO application will redirect the user to page indicating that their account has been disabled, and that the user will need to contact RIOO Support to have account their account enabled.
