SHORT DESCRIPTION: Implementation Details of NPRR917, NPRR1052, NPRR1054, and NPRR1065
INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT will be implementing system changes between February 1 to 3, 2022, for Protocol language associated with Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 917, Nodal Pricing for Settlement Only Distribution Generators (SODGs) and Settlement Only Transmission Generators (SOTGs); NPRR 1052, Load Zone Pricing for Settlement Only Storage Prior to NPRR995 Implementation; NPRR 1065, Implementation Adjustment for NPRR917; and partial implementation of NPRR1054, Removal of Oklaunion Exemption Language.
NPRR917, NPRR1052, and NPRR1065 introduces the following changes to the Nodal Protocols:
- Section 6.6.3.2, Real-Time Energy Imbalance Payment or Charge at a Load Zone – Replaces the Real-Time Metered Generation from Non-Modeled Generators (RTMGNM) billing determinant with Real-Time Metered Generation from Settlement Only Generators Zonal (RTMGSOGZ) billing determinant.
- Section 6.6.3.9, Real-Time Payment or Charge for Energy from a Settlement Only Distribution Generator (SODG) or a Settlement Only Transmission Generator (SOTG) – Establishes new Settlement equations that implement nodal pricing for SODGs and SOTGs.
- Section 6.6.10, Real-Time Revenue Neutrality Allocation – Addition of Real-Time Energy Amount Total for Energy from all SODGs and SOTGs (RTESOGAMTTOT) billing determinant to maintain Revenue Neutrality.
- Section 9.19.1, Default Uplift Invoices – Adds a new parameter to the Default Uplift calculation to include the MWh activity for Settlement Only Generators (USOGTOT).
- Section 9.19.3, Default Uplift Supporting Data Reporting - Adds a new column, Uplift Real-Time Energy Produced by SOG Site (USOGTOT), under the Default Uplift Supporting Data Report.
Partial implementation of NPRR1054 introduces the following changes to the Nodal Protocols:
- Section 6.6.10, Real-Time Revenue Neutrality Allocation –Removal of Real-Time DC Export Amount Total (RTDCEXPAMTTOT) billing determinant from the calculation.

ACTION REQUIRED: Impacted Market Participants should implement changes to their shadow Settlement systems to incorporate the Protocol revisions made by NPRR917, NPRR1052, NPRR1054, and NPRR1065.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
