SHORT DESCRIPTION: Notification of Suspension of Operations (NSO) for Brownsville Public Utilities Board (SILASRAY_SILAS_6, SILASRAY_SILAS_9)

DAY AFFECTED: Comments Due May 22, 2026

LONG DESCRIPTION: On May 1, 2026, ERCOT received an NSO for the following Generation Resources:

• Brownsville Public Utilities Board (SILASRAY_SILAS_6, SILASRAY_SILAS_9)

The NSO indicates that on October 29, 2025, the Generation Resources experienced a Forced Outage.  As a result of the Forced Outage, Brownsville Public Utilities Board intends to decommission and retire the Resources permanently. The NSO further indicates that the Generation Resources have a Summer Seasonal Net Max Sustainable Rating of 15MW and 39 MW and a Summer Seasonal Net Minimum Sustainable Rating of 14MW and 34 MW. 

Pursuant to ERCOT Protocol section 3.14.1.2(1), ERCOT has posted the NSO on the ERCOT website, where NSOs may be accessed.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Please send any comments you may have regarding the NSO to RMRcomments@ercot.com, with "Brownsville Public Utilities Board (SILASRAY_SILAS_6, SILASRAY_SILAS_9) NSO" in the subject line.  Comments are due no later than May 22, 2026  All comments will be posted to the Generation page of the MIS Secure Area.
