NOTICE TYPE: M-B111725-01 Operations
SHORT DESCRIPTION: RTC+B: ERCOT Market Operations Testing Environment (MOTE) transition to RTC+B on December 1, 2025
INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants
DAYS AFFECTED: December 1, 2025
LONG DESCRIPTION: In preparation for the implementation of Real-Time Co-optimization plus Batteries (RTC+B) for Operating Day December 5, 2025, the ERCOT Market Operations Testing Environment (MOTE) will be transitioned from the current market design to the RTC+B market design beginning on December 1, 2025.
To date, all RTC+B submissions testing for Market Participants that would normally occur in MOTE has been in the RTC+B market trials environment. After the RTC+B go-live on December 5, 2025, the MOTE will resume being the primary platform for testing and qualification purposes.
During this transition, the MOTE connection end point API URL will be changed:
From the current (pre-RTC+B) MOTE URLs:
Internet API URL: https://testmisapi.ercot.com/2007-08/Nodal/eEDS/EWS/
WAN API URL: https://testmisapi.wan.ercot.com:9443/2007-08/Nodal/eEDS/EWS/
To new (post RTC+B) MOTE URLs:
Internet API URL: https://testmisapi.ercot.com/NodalAPI/EWS/
WAN API URL: https://testmisapi.wan.ercot.com/NodalAPI/EWS/
MOTE Market Manager UI and Outage Scheduler UI URLs will remain the same as current URLs after MOTE transition to RTC+B. Below are current MOTE Market Manager UI and Outage Scheduler UI URLs:
Market Manager UI: https://testmis.ercot.com/mmsui/mmsui/displayTradesLanding.action
Outage Scheduler (OS) UI : https://testmis.ercot.com/osrui/osrui/Summary.action
Current MOTE system Notification Listener URLs will continue to be used to send notifications after the MOTE transition to RTC+B.
ACTION REQUIRED: Market Participants that use MOTE with External Web Services API end-point URLs connectivity need to be prepared to reconfigure their system connections on or after December 1, 2025. Market Participants are expected to complete any planned market and outage submissions communication and qualification testing for the current system by November 28, 2025, as the MOTE system will not be available for current production market and outage submissions testing from December 1-4, 2025.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Market Participants should recognize that starting December 1, 2025, the MOTE environment will not match the ERCOT production system until RTC+B is implemented on December 5, 2025.
