SHORT DESCRIPTION: Workshop on Aurora Energy Research Report analyzing resource adequacy and market design including DRRS

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT will host an in-person workshop at the Met Center on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 1:30 PM to discuss a report prepared for ERCOT by Aurora Energy Research: An Assessment of Resource Adequacy Needs in ERCOT and Impact of Market Design Changes.  The report provides an analysis of resource adequacy needs in the ERCOT Region and the impact of market design changes on key reliability and system costs metrics.  The report will be first discussed at the November 14, 2025 Open Meeting of the Public Utility Commission of Texas.

At the workshop, Aurora personnel will present the report's findings and provide stakeholders with the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on the report's modeling results and findings.  Meeting details are  available at this link to the ERCOT website .
