SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT Board approval of Real-Time Market Price Corrections

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: August 9, 10, and 20, 2024

LONG DESCRIPTION: On October 10, 2024, the ERCOT Board of Directors (ERCOT Board) reviewed price corrections for two separate events that impacted the Real-Time Market (RTM).  The first event was regarding incorrect Resource data being used for Security-Constrained Economic Dispatch.  See Market Notices M-A082024-01 and M-A082024-02.  The second event was regarding the incorrect recall of ERCOT Contingency Reserve Service (ECRS).  See Market Notice M-A082824-01 and M-A082824-02.

The ERCOT Board determined that prices were significantly affected and directed ERCOT to implement the appropriate price corrections pursuant to ERCOT Protocol Section 6.3(7) for the RTM.

ERCOT Board approval of these price corrections necessitates the issuance of RTM Resettlement Statements. A subsequent Market Notice will be posted for the RTM resettlements in accordance with ERCOT Protocol Section 9.5.7.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The corrected prices are posted in both CSV and XML formats under the RTM Price Corrections sections of the Market Prices on ERCOT.com.
