SHORT DESCRIPTION: Call for Participation - ERCOT Distribution Awareness Platform (EDAP)

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT is issuing a call for voluntary participation in the proof-of-concept (POC) of ERCOT Distribution Awareness Platform (EDAP). EDAP is a technology platform that holds functional model attributes and operational data from Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) for situational awareness.  Please refer to the February 2025 Request for Proposals (RFP) for more information on ERCOT seeking technology partners to assist with EDAP.

ERCOT has selected a vendor for EDAP and is now inviting and seeking willing Market Participants (MPs) to collaborate with and contribute real-world operational or test data to help ERCOT validate EDAP. We are particularly interested in the following:

• DER functional model attributes and telemetry data; 
• DER registration, configuration, and network model data; and
• DER program participation data, if any.

ERCOT will not provide any financial compensation for participation and will gather input to inform industry data standards and interoperability practices.

ERCOT is seeking up to five participants to support this proof of concept, allowing ERCOT to provide adequate support and engagement to those participants. If interest exceeds capacity, participants will be selected based on their readiness to engage and ability to align with ERCOT's planned POC timeline. Participants will be expected to exchange data via RESTful APIs, using accepted industry standards (e.g., IEEE 2030.5, OpenADR etc.) Selected participants may be asked to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
