SHORT DESCRIPTION: Implementation Details of NPRR1290, Gap Resolutions and Clarifications for the Implementation of RTC+B, and NPRR1323, Correction to Inadvertent Removal of Real-Time MCPC Capping for NPRR1290 Phase 2

LONG DESCRIPTION: On August 28, 2026, Protocol language associated with Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 1290, Gap Resolutions and Clarifications for the Implementation of RTC+B, and NPRR1323, Correction to Inadvertent Removal of Real-Time MCPC Capping for NPRR1290 Phase 2, will be implemented.

NPRR1290 implements the changes in Security-Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED), where any Locational Marginal Price (LMP) above the Value of Loss Load (VOLL) is set equal to the greater of VOLL or the difference between the LMP minus the positive difference between System Lambda and VOLL.

NPRR1323 reinserts Protocol language regarding the capping of Real-Time Market Clearing Prices for Capacity (MCPCs) at the effective Value of Lost Load (VOLL) in language related to NPRR1290.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: In accordance with Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT provides notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
