SHORT DESCRIPTION: Renewable Energy Credits and Compliance Premiums of 2023 vintage scheduled to expire.

INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: March 31, 2026

LONG DESCRIPTION: All Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) and Compliance Premiums (CPs) created in 2023 are scheduled to expire and will no longer be useable after March 31, 2026. These RECs and CPs may not be banked and carried over to future years. However, the RECs and CPs may be retired on a voluntary basis. The Solar only RECs may be used to satisfy 2025 Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) mandates until midnight on March 31, 2026.

At midnight on March 31, 2026, these RECs and CPs will cease to exist.
