SHORT DESCRIPTION: PUCT hosting Weather Emergency Preparedness and Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) Workshop 12/08/2026

LONG DESCRIPTION: The Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) is hosting a workshop on December 8, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 12:45 PM in the Commissioners' Hearing Room located on the seventh floor of the William B. Travis Building, 1701 N. Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas 78701.

The workshop will review the PUCT's findings from its biannual Weather Emergency Preparedness Report and suggested best practices for Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs) to incorporate in the upcoming 2027 annual EOP filings required of electric utilities, transmission and distribution utilities (TDUs), power generation companies (PGCs), municipally owned utilities (MOUs), electric cooperatives, and retail electric providers (REPs).  The workshop agenda also includes:

• Texas emergency response overview;
• update from the PUCT's Division of Compliance and Enforcement (DICE); and
• electric entity spotlight panel discussion.

The target audience of this workshop includes any entities required by 16 Texas Administrative Code Section 25.53 to file an EOP.

In-person attendance is encouraged to allow for an opportunity to ask questions.  The meeting will also be broadcast live at: https://www.puc.texas.gov/agency/calendar/broadcasts/

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The PUCT's Weather Emergency Preparedness Report was filed on September 24, 2026 in PUCT Project No. 53385 and is available on the PUCT's Interchange.
