SHORT DESCRIPTION: Update: Investigation of Incorrect Reliability Unit Commitment (RUC) Opt-Out Snapshot Logic

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: September 23, 2024 and October 24, 2024

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has developed a solution to address the issue in the logic establishing the Opt-Out snapshot used to determine whether a Resource has opted out of Reliability Unit Commitment (RUC) Settlement.  This issue was initially communicated in Market Notice M-A100824-01 Operations.  ERCOT plans to implement the solution on October 24, 2024. 

ERCOT has identified one Operating Day impacted by this issue, which was September 23, 2024.  ERCOT has reviewed the impact and determined that it is not able to perform a price correction as accurate prices can not be determined, pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 6.3(4).
