NOTICE DATE: September 23, 2025

NOTICE TYPE: M-A092325-01 Operations

SHORT DESCRIPTION: Request for Energy Information Administration (EIA) Plant Name, Plant ID, and Generator IDs

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Resource Entities (REs) and Interconnecting Entities (IEs)

DAYS AFFECTED: November 14, 2025

LONG DESCRIPTION: As a NERC-registered Balancing Authority, ERCOT must complete and submit form EIA-930A annually, which requires ERCOT to provide the EIA information regarding current and projected Resources capable of providing net power to the ERCOT System. Consequently, ERCOT is issuing a request for information (RFI) to REs and IEs to provide, no later than November 14, 2025, the EIA Plant Name, EIA Plant ID, and EIA Generator IDs for each of the responding entity's Resources, as reported on each entity's form EIA-860.

Each RE and IE should use the following methods to submit the required data for each of its Resources:

  1. For each Resource with a Resource Commissioning Date or with an approved Production Load Date (PLD) on or before December 17, 2025, the entity must reply to an ERCOT-initiated DocuSign email that ERCOT will send on September 24, 2025.
  2. For each Resource in the Generation Interconnection or Modification (GIM) queue without an approved PLD, but with a signed Standard Generation Interconnection Agreement (SGIA) and a projected sync date on or before December 31, 2026, the entity must submit the requested EIA registration data via the Unit Details entry under the Substation Details page for the Resource in the Resource Integration and Ongoing Operations - Interconnection Services (RIOO-IS) application.

Under 16 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) Section 25.503(f)(8), "a market entity has an obligation to provide accurate and factual information . . . in any communication with ERCOT or with the commission . . . " and 16 TAC Section 25.503(f)(10) requires Market Participants to "comply with requests for information or data by ERCOT . . . within the time specified by ERCOT instructions . . . ." Consequently, responses should be as accurate as possible and should be provided in a timely manner.

ACTION REQUIRED: REs and IEs must submit the requested EIA registration data via DocuSign or RIOO-IS no later than November 14, 2025.
