SHORT DESCRIPTION: Real-Time Market Price Correction - Delayed Shift Factor Export to SCED

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: August 30, 2026

LONG DESCRIPTION: On Operating Day (OD) August 30, 2026, a database issue delayed shift factor data for use by Security Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED). As a result, SCED used stale constraint data for intervals 09:05 - 09:15 AM, and 09:25 AM.

ERCOT performed an impact analysis and found that the affected intervals met the significance criteria for pursuing a price correction, as outlined in ERCOT Protocols Section 6.3(5) . ERCOT corrected prices for OD August 30 before the deadline of 4:00 PM on September 1, 2026.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Price Correction files for OD August 30, 2026, have been posted on the Market Information System (MIS).
