SHORT DESCRIPTION:  2028.1st6.AnnualAuction.Seq6 per-CRRAH Limit change to 1,800

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  CRR Account Holders and Counter-Parties

DAYS AFFECTED:  September 16 - 18, 2025

LONG DESCRIPTION:  Based on participation levels observed in the last long-term auction sequence (LTAS), ERCOT is lowering the per account holder limit for the upcoming 2028.1st6.AnnualAuction.Seq6 to reduce the risk of a transaction adjustment period. The per account holder transaction limit for the upcoming  2028.1st6.AnnualAuction.Seq6 has been lowered from 2,000, to 1,800.

Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 1261 Operational Flexibility for CRR Auction Transaction Limits was approved and became effective April 1, 2025. The auction transaction limits table below is provided with each CRR auction notice and it contains the transaction limits that will be effective for each auction type. The values in the transaction limits table are subject to change based on operational needs and changes are previewed at Congestion Management Work Group (CMWG) meetings.

Since the 2028.1st6.AnnualAuction.Seq6 is taking place prior to the September 22, 2025, CMWG meeting, a Market Notice is being issued in lieu of the preview at CMWG.
