SHORT DESCRIPTION: Fix to ensure curve points meet minimum 1 MW requirement for Day-Ahead Market (DAM) Energy-Only Offers and DAM Energy Bids

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: August 27, 2026

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has identified that the curve validation for DAM Energy-Only Offers and DAM Energy Bids currently does not prevent Market Participants from submitting curve points below the 1 megawatt (MW) minimum required by Protocols Sections 4.4.9.5.1(3) and 4.4.9.6.1(2). On August 27, 2026, ERCOT will implement a fix to prevent non-compliant curve points below the 1 MW minimum from being submitted. The first affected DAM Operating Day in which the fix will be effective will be Operating Day (OD) August 29, 2026.
