SHORT DESCRIPTION: Notice of Severe Weather Drill and Deadline for Single Point of Contact Submission
INTENDED AUDIENCE: TOs and QSEs that represent Generation Resources
DAYS AFFECTED: Deadline for Single Point of Contact Submission: August 11, 2023; Drill Date: August 24, 2023
LONG DESCRIPTION: The annual Severe Weather Drill, as required by ERCOT Nodal Operating Guide Section 1.5.4, will be conducted on August 24, 2023. All Transmission Operators (TOs) and Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) that represent Generation Resources are required to participate in the Severe Weather Drill (Hurricane).
The 2023 Severe Weather Drill is primarily focused on emergency communications between Market Participants and ERCOT. An event script will be emailed to each Single Point of Contact with the approximate time each simulation event will occur. As such, ERCOT is requesting that the Single Point of Contact be submitted to ERCOT by August 11, 2023.
ACTION REQUIRED: All TOs and QSEs that represent Generation Resources must submit the name, email address, and phone number of their respective Single Point of Contact by August 11, 2023. The Single Point of Contact's phone number will be used during the simulated Hot Line calls for training. Please ensure the phone number is not a real-time operations desk phone number.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: No fees will be charged for participation in the Severe Weather Drill and no continuing education hours provided.
