SHORT DESCRIPTION: Notice of Revised Methodology for Calculating the Resource Planned Outage Limit

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has revised the methodology for calculating the Resource Planned Outage Limit, effective August 10, 2026, to unbox sections 2.3, 3.1, and 3.3 for Energy Storage Resource (ESR) Resource Planned Outage Limits due to system implementation. Starting August 10, 2026, ERCOT will begin applying the Resource Planned Outage Limit for ESRs. The revised methodology also updates all instances of the term Maximum Daily Resource Planned Outage Capacity to Resource Planned Outage Limit to align with the approval of NPRR 1287.

The revised methodology for calculating the Resource Planned Outage Limit is attached to this notice. On the effective date of August 10, 2026, the revised methodology will be posted to the ERCOT website.
