SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT Hosting Initial Technical Workshop on the Migration of ERCOT's Network Operations Model from the Common Information Model (CIM) Version 10 to 16 on September 18, 2025

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants, Transmission Service Providers (TSPs), and all consumers of ERCOT's Network Operations Model 

DAYS AFFECTED: September 18, 2025 

LONG DESCRIPTION: On September 18, 2025, ERCOT will host its first workshop at the ERCOT MET Center starting at 9:30 a.m. to discuss the migration of ERCOT's Network Operations Model from the Common Information Model (CIM) Version 10 to 16. ERCOT has begun the effort to migrate its Network Model Management System to CIM 16, and, with that, the model files posted by ERCOT will be changing. The purpose of this workshop is to outline the transition to CIM 16 and the major changes to the ERCOT model, and to answer questions on the transition. ERCOT plans to transition to CIM 16 in the first half of 2027.

ERCOT will release the first set of CIM 16 Redacted Models to the MIS on August 18and will post the workshop slides by September 11.  

The CIM 16 Redacted Model will be posted on the CIM16 Redacted CIM Network Model page of the ERCOT Market Information System (MIS).
