SHORT DESCRIPTION: Responses due in 10 days and FAQ posted: RFIs to support the transition to a single-model representation of Energy Storage Resources within the Resource registration application, RIOO

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Resource Entities (REs) with Energy Storage Resources (ESRs) that are commissioned, in the commissioning process, or have an approved Production Load Date

DAYS AFFECTED: August 6, 2024, through September 6, 2024

LONG DESCRIPTION: As described in M-A071024-01 and M-A071024-02, ERCOT has initiated RFIs to support RIOO’s transition to a single-model representation of Energy Storage Resources. There are 10 days remaining to provide response to the RFI.  ERCOT has posted, to the July RIWG Meeting page, a Frequently Asked Questions document to answer common questions.  This document will be updated as needed.

On September 26, 2024, ERCOT will execute the conversion process within RIOO to move existing ESRs to a single-model representation.  The responses from the RFI will be included in this process.  Failure to respond will result in an incomplete conversion of the ESR and the RE will not be able to submit any changes into RIOO for the site containing these ESRs until all missing data is provided.

ACTION REQUIRED: ERCOT requests that all REs with ESRs that are commissioned, in the commissioning process, or have an approved Production Load Date provide a complete response to the DocuSign RFI by September 6, 2024.
