SHORT DESCRIPTION: Retire Sam Switch (SAMSW) Generic Transmission Constraint (GTC)

INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: July 1, 2026

LONG DESCRIPTION: The purpose of this notice is to provide contemporaneous notification to all ERCOT Market Participants that ERCOT will retire the Sam Switch GTC on July 1, 2026. In addition, the interconnection conditions for inverter-based generators described in Market Notices W-A022625-02 and W-A022625-03 will no longer be necessary as of July 1, 2026, and therefore will not apply as of that date.

Details associated with all GTCs (EMIL ID NP3-770-M, Report ID 11425) can be found on the Grid Transmission page on the ERCOT Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area under the Generic Transmission Constraints Methodology section. A Digital Certificate with role ICE_M_VIEW_ECEII is required to access this ECEII data.
