SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT's Market Operations Test Environment (MOTE) Notification Listener certificate renewal

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Market Participant personnel that receive notifications from ERCOT’s External Web Services on their listeners in the MOTE environment

DAYS AFFECTED: June 21, 2024

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On June 21, 2024, ERCOT will replace the Notifications Public Key SSL certificate used by the Listeners that receive notifications from the External Web Services (EWS) with a new Notifications Public Key Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate.

Impacts will only include those Market Participants that receive notifications on their Listeners and validating the request and certificate in the MOTE environment.

ACTION REQUIRED: Market Participants must download and install the following into their application's key store:

• ERCOT MOTE Notifications Public Key (valid from 05/30/2024 to 07/01/2025)

   

All Certificates, including the updated public key, are available for download on ERCOT.com at http://www.ercot.com/services/mdt/webservices/.
