SHORT DESCRIPTION: Initial collection of end-use industry classification for Load Points meeting the criteria in paragraphs (14) and (16) of Protocol Section 3.10.7.2, Modeling of Resources and Transmission Loads
INTENDED AUDIENCE: Transmission Service Providers (TSPs) and Resource Entities associated with Private Use Networks

LONG DESCRIPTION: On July 21, 2025, Protocol language associated with Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 1234, Interconnection Requirements for Large Loads and Modeling Standards for Loads 25 MW or Greater, will be partially implemented.
As described in Market Notice M-A052125-02, paragraphs (14) through (19) of Section 3.10.7.2 will be implemented.
This Protocol language requires Resource Entities associated with Private Use Networks and TSPs to provide ERCOT, by September 1, 2025, end-use industry classification of Load Points meeting certain historical or anticipated Demand criteria. Upon future system implementation, the Resource Integration and Ongoing Operations (RIOO) system will accommodate submission of this information. The processes for the initial collection of this information from these Market Participants can be found below:
Resource Entities associated with Private Use Networks or co-located large loads will be provided with a pre-populated form containing their associated Load Points posted to the ERCOT Market Information System (MIS) ERCOT Critical Energy Infrastructure Information (ECEII) Requested Information folder. A valid Digital Certificate with the ECEII role assigned is required to access this information on the MIS. Each Resource Entity is required to complete the form to provide an end-use industry classification for Load Points meeting the criteria in paragraph (16) of Protocol Section 3.10.7.2, submit an attachment-only RSCR in RIOO RS application with a description of "NPRR 1234 End Use Industry Classification", and attach the completed information. Responses are due back to ERCOT by September 1, 2025. Questions related to Resource Entities' submission can be sent to their assigned ERCOT Account Manager for assistance.
For TSPs, an extract of all Load Points has been created and posted to the Network Model Management System (NMMS) Citrix Postings folder. TSPs must review the extract and input the end-use industry classification for their Load Points meeting the criteria in paragraph (14) of Protocol Section 3.10.7.2. Prior to September 1, 2025, a Collaborative Action Model Request (CAMR) must be proposed by the relevant TSP with the modified extract attached and a requested Production Load Date of September 24, 2025.
