SHORT DESCRIPTION: Partial Implementation Details of NPRR1234, Interconnection Requirements for Large Loads and Modeling Standards for Loads 25 MW or Greater

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED:  June 1, 2025

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On June 1, 2025, Protocol language associated with Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 1234 will be partially implemented. 

NPRR1234 and the related Planning Guide Revision Request (PGRR) 115, Related to NPRR1234, Interconnection Requirements for Large Loads and Modeling Standards for Loads 25 MW or Greater, establish interconnection and modeling requirements for Large Loads.

Specifically, the language in the following sections will be implemented:

Section 2.1, Definitions

Section 2.2, Acronyms and Abbreviations

Section 3.15, Voltage Support

Section 3.15.3, Generation Resource Requirements Related to Voltage Support

The remainder of NPRR1234 and PGRR115 will be implemented at a later date.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  In accordance with Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, and Planning Guide Section 1.2.5, Planning Guide Revision Implementation, ERCOT provides notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
