SHORT DESCRIPTION: Impact Analysis - Incorrect consideration of ECRS Ramp Rate Telemetry for Non-Controllable Load Resources

DAYS AFFECTED: April 29, 2026 - May 19, 2026
LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has completed the impact analysis for Operating Days (ODs) April 29, 2026 through May 19, 2026, and will not correct prices. A software defect affected ERCOT Contingency Reserve Service (ECRS) awards on these ODs . See Market Notice M-A052026-01 for more information.
Under ERCOT Protocols Section 6.3(7)(b), ERCOT will only seek approval from the ERCOT Board of Directors to correct prices if the change in Real-Time Market Settlement Statement(s) would result in the absolute value impact to any single Counter-Party to be greater than:
- 2% and also greater than $20,000; or
- 20% and also greater than $2,000.
ERCOT has determined that no Counter-Parties met either of the above criteria during any of the affected ODs.
