SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT reminds User Security Administrators of action required regarding ERCOT Root Certificate.

INTENDED AUDIENCE: User Security Administrators (USAs)

DAYS AFFECTED: May 21, 2024

LONG DESCRIPTION: As of May 26, 2023, ERCOT worked with the certificate vendor to extend the expiration date of the ERCOT Client Root CAs and the CAs were published to ERCOT.com (https://www.ercot.com/services/mdt/webservices).

ACTION REQUIRED: Market Participants (MPs) must add the new Root Certificate (CA) to all browsers or API keystores to ensure that new certificates can be used to access ERCOT's secure websites to prevent access issues.
