SHORT DESCRIPTION: Partial Implementation - VCMRR042, SO2 and NOx Emission Index Prices Used in Verifiable Cost Calculations (Index Change for Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) from Cross-State Annual to Cross-State Seasonal Prices)

DAYS AFFECTED: June 1, 2025

LONG DESCRIPTION: On June 1, 2025, Verifiable Cost Manual Revision Request (VCMRR) 042, SO2 and NOx Emission Index Prices Used in Verifiable Cost Calculations, will be partially implemented. The NOx prices used in Verifiable Cost calculations will be based on the Cross-State Group 2 Seasonal index published by Argus Media in its Argus Air Daily publication.  Prior to VCMRR 042, the NOx prices were based on the Cross-State Annual index from the same publication. 

The current list of Fuel and Emissions Vendor Names can be found at: https://www.ercot.com/mktinfo/settlements.

The remainder of VCMRR042 will be implemented at a later date.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pursuant to Verifiable Cost Manual Section 13.6, Verifiable Cost Manual Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
