SHORT DESCRIPTION: Notice of Severe Weather Drill (Hurricane)

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) that represent Generation Resources and Transmission Operators (TOs)

DAYS AFFECTED: June 5, 2025

LONG DESCRIPTION: The annual Severe Weather Drill, as required by ERCOT Nodal Operating Guide Section 1.5.4, will be conducted on June 5, 2025, via WebEx, beginning at 0800. All QSEs that represent Generation Resources and all TOs are required to participate.

The 2025 Severe Weather Drill will focus on enhancing emergency communications between Market Participants and ERCOT. The topics covered as part of the Severe Weather Drill will include an Introduction, Indications and Conditions, Emergency Operations (EOP-011-4), and Operating Personnel Communications Protocols (COM-002-4). The Severe Weather Drill will also include multiple simulated Hotline calls throughout key stages: Operating Condition Notice (OCN), Advisory, Watch, and Emergency. The session is expected to last approximately one hour.
