NOTICE DATE: April 21, 2025
NOTICE TYPE: M-A042125-01 Operations
SHORT DESCRIPTION: Declarations of Weather Preparedness (DoWP) must be submitted via the Weatherization & Inspection Market Participant Portal (Portal)
INTENDED AUDIENCE: Authorized Representatives (ARs), Backup Authorized Representatives (BARs), User Security Administrators (USAs), and others involved in Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) Weather Emergency Preparedness Rule compliance activities for Transmission Service Providers (TSPs) and Generation Entities (GEs)/Resource Entities (RE)
DAYS AFFECTED: May 1, 2025 to June 2, 2025
LONG DESCRIPTION: TSPs and REs must submit Summer 2025 DoWPs to ERCOT through the Weatherization & Inspection Market Participant Portal between Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 00:00:00 to Monday, June 2, 2025, at 23:59:59.
*The end date is extended by one day because June 1, 2025, is a Sunday.
ACTION REQUIRED: The TSP or RE User Security Administrator (USA) must coordinate access to the Portal for Market Participant (MP) representatives. Each MP representative who performs any portion of the DoWP submission process, including preparing Appendix A, attaching supplemental documents, uploading the Notarized Attestation, and submitting the complete declaration, must have a digital certificate with the 'manager' role, SN_M_W_MGR_ECEII, assigned.
MP representatives who provide information in response to an ERCOT Notice of Inspection (NOI) must also have the Portal 'manager' role assigned to their digital certificate.
For "read-only" access to the Portal, a TSP or RE USA should assign the 'view' role, SN_M_W_VIEW_ECEII, to an MP representative's digital certificate.
Do not assign both the 'manager' and 'view' roles to any single MP representative's digital certificate, as the permission level will default to the 'view' role.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: For instructions regarding access to and use of the Portal, refer to the Weatherization & Inspection Market Participant Portal User Guide. The Portal user guide, as well as other relevant documents to assist with the DoWP submission process, is posted on the Summer Weather Readiness webpage on ERCOT.com. Additionally, refer to MP Knowledge Base articles on the Portal for frequently asked questions regarding the Portal and DoWP submissions.
USAs unfamiliar with the digital certificate process may review the ERCOT Digital Certificate User Guide, located under the Certificate Documentation section of the Digital Certificate Security Information page.
