SHORT DESCRIPTION: Potential Price Correction - SCED Incorrectly Determined Qualifying Facility Output Schedules

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED: December 17, 2025, to January 29, 2026

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT discovered a software defect affecting the Real-Time Market (RTM) between December 17, 2025 and January 29, 2026. Security Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED) failed to set the output schedules of Qualifying Facilities equal to their telemetered output. ERCOT corrected the defect on January 29, 2026.

We are investigating whether this defect caused RTM prices to be incorrect. Under Protocol Section 6.3(7)(a), we must preserve the ERCOT Board of Directors' ability to review prices within 30 days of the affected Operating Day (OD). This notice covers ODs from January 6 through January 29, 2026 - the period within 30 days of today's notice.

Once the investigation is complete, ERCOT will issue a Market Notice detailing the pricing impacts and whether we will seek ERCOT Board review.
