Service Level Agreements

ERCOT has worked with various Stakeholder groups to develop Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that define expectations for service delivery. Among other service parameters, the SLAs describe the service availability targets, operating hours and reporting mechanisms for several services provided by ERCOT to the Texas electric market. Where applicable, these agreements build upon the requirements outlined in ERCOT Protocols and Market Guides. In the event of a conflict between the SLA documents and the ERCOT Protocols, Market Guides or PUCT Substantive Rules, the Protocols or PUCT Substantive Rules take precedence over the SLA.
